Let me introduce you my sister, Pipoca (it means Popcorn in Portuguese). She is 03 years younger than me and a Dachshund.
I've spent too many time alone at my human pet's appartment and being so energetic and a pack's dog as all Beagles are, I begin developing some skin and behavior problems so the vet have adviced that another dog's company would do me good.
My human pet was kind of hesitant because I was already a handfull but one day, that tiny female daschund was presented to her, all cinnamon with a light stripe of black on her coat.
She was so small that she would fit on one human's hand and she comfortably dozed on my human pet's chest.
Well, it seems Pipoca got her new place instantly!
When I first saw her at our home place, it felt very, very odd. That little "mice" running around MY place! I went up the couch and could only look down to it, amazed!
It only came to me that this new "thing" was actually a dog like me when she started playing with a collored strings toy and I decided to go into a tug-of-war! Fun, fun, fun!
So I thought: hey, a playmate!
But I would not give it all to her so quickly, oh no! At sleeptime, each would get it's own corner at my human pet's bed and so it is 'till this date.
But I say, she is an OK sister! :-)
